These National Qualifications have been carefully tailored with a MUSICAL THEATRE focus for learners to explore their full potential in an environment that is supportive, instilling them with the experience and tools to embody their vision of success. Courses cover a range of topics including solo and ensemble voice, ballet, jazz, acting through speech and song, body conditioning, audition technique, hair and make-up, career planning, and many more to ensure that upon successful completion, the performer is industry ready.
CUA30120 Certificate III in Dance
For performers aged 14+
This National Qualification can be achieved over 35 weeks (1 Year) immersing students in a transformative year-long experience tailored for those eager to begin their journey into the performing arts industry.
Designed to unveil the potential within each student, this qualification goes beyond the ordinary. Delve into the intricacies of musical theatre from a technical standpoint, gaining insights that elevate your practice to new heights. Uncover the practicalities of the performing arts industry and emerge with a solid understanding of what it takes to succeed.

COURSE DELIVERY
Our Certificate III in Dance is delivered over one year, with classes running each FRIDAY of the QLD State School calendar from 9am to 3pm.
As our courses hold a strong musical theatre focus, each student will receive a 30-minute private vocal lesson every fortnight alongside the core dance units, producing a more well-rounded musical theatre performer.
CUA40520 Certificate IV in Musical Theatre
For performers aged 16+
This National Qualification can be achieved over 70 weeks (2 Years) immersing students in a transformative two-year experience tailored for those eager to carve their path in the industry.
Designed to unveil the potential within each student, this qualification goes beyond the ordinary. Delve into the intricacies of musical theatre from a technical standpoint, gaining insights that elevate your practice to new heights. Uncover the practicalities of the performing arts industry and emerge with a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to succeed.

ROCKIT is the exclusive Musical Theatre provider for events such as Creative Generations (QLD Department of Education), working with the up and coming stars of Australian musical theatre.
Multifunctional Facilities
Our fully air-conditioned facility offers three large-group studios and two private music studios totalling over 500m2 only 25 minutes from Brisbane City.
Our ballet and contemporary space features sprung flooring, tarkett, ballet barres and floor to ceiling mirrors. Our performance space features sprung floors, floor to ceiling mirrors and the ability to convert into an 88-seat tiered theatre with theatrical lighting, curtaining and a state of the art short-throw projector.
Teaching Artists
The ROCKIT Team is comprised of passionate teaching artists who not only excel on stage but also work diligently behind the scenes. They have affiliations with renowned organisations such as Opera Queensland, Queensland Theatre Company, La Boîte Theatre Company, Shake & Stir Theatre Company, Network TEN, Camp Quality, and The Starlight Foundation.

AUDITIONS
Applicants are asked to prepare one 90-second song from a musical (to be performed with track) and will undertake a dance audition with our head of dance, George Canham.
